In rural towns, it can be tricky (pun intended) for those who enjoy Halloween festivities – namely acquiring candy while costumed – to be successful in this mission, when houses are spaced a good distance apart and neighborhoods are not necessary the norm.
Well, fear not (or maybe a little). The KWO’s annual Trunk-or-Treat is happening once again! Decorate your car and hand out candy, or put on those crafty Halloween costumes and grab some goodies. The fire department will also be there, handing out candy and providing plenty of touch-a-truck opportunities.
To donate candy, please use this link. This free event is taking place Sunday, October 29, at the Courtyard (176 Route 81). There’s a signup for those who want to decorate their vehicles this year – click here to sign up. Parking ends at 6:20pm, and the event ends at 7:30pm.
There isn’t a rain date, but that’s okay, because we all have a childhood story about wearing a coat over a costume.
