Last week, the DEEP Parks, Forestry, and Engineering Departments held a public meeting outlining the details for the upcoming Linear Paving Project for Chatfield Hollow Park.
The project focuses on the tree and stump removal plus trimming work associated with the paving project. The meeting, held at Oak Lodge Nature Center on October 23, explained the significance of the markings of approximately 200 trees (.002% of the overall trees in the park) and the anticipated temporary park and road closures to ensure contractor and recreating public safety.
A summary of the presentation was provided to All Things Killingworth, which outlines the scope of the project and anticipated timelines – it is available for review here.
